You will shortly receive a letter inviting you to one of our clinics.  

If you fall into one of the following groups of people, you are more vulnerable to the effects of flu (even if you feel fit and healthy) and could develop a more serious illness, such as bronchitis and pneumonia. It could also make any existing condition worse.  You will shortly receive a letter inviting you to one of our clinics. 

The following groups are eligible for flu vaccination in Primary Care and will receive an invitation

· those aged 65 years and over

· those aged six months to under 65 years in clinical risk groups, Chronic respiratory disease, Chronic heart disease, Chronic kidney disease, Chronic liver disease, Chronic neurological disease, Diabetes, Immunosuppression, Asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen

· pregnant women

· those in long-stay residential care homes

· carers

· Children aged two and three years to be offered vaccination through primary care.
