New MMRV Vaccine

The new Measles/Mumps/Rubella/Varicella (Chicken pox) vaccine is given to children turning 1 years of age.  A further dose is given at 18 months.  It forms part of the routine childhood immunisation programme from the 1st January 2026.

A catch up programme for children from 3 and a half to 6 years of age will be rolled out in November 2026.
